July 4th, 1776 Our Continental Congress signed the Declaration of Independence declaring themselves free of tyranny.
This was the start of the first Congress of the United States, a Government of the people, for the people and by the people.
It was their intent that the government would be made up of farmers, merchants, smiths and artisans, not by career politicians.
They never intended on corporate donations to candidates.
A Government of the people, for the people and by the people has become a fairy tale in American politics.
This is why I am running for office: we need to have a government that will represent the people again.
It is now time to start to fire all the representatives that no longer serve the people, starting with Joseph Lieberman.
When elected I will work for a Universal Health Care System that covers
all Americans, rather than leaving nearly 45 million people behind and
another 38 million with inadequate health care.
I will fight for the immediate end to the War in Iraq and an immediate return of our men and women who served their country.
Since the start of the war, over 2300 of our family, friends and neighbors have died in this unfortunate military intervention.
Let's not waste another life; let's bring our troops home.
When elected I will fight for an education system that leaves
not one child behind no matter which town or city you live in. An
education system that will cover students from pre-K through college.
When elected I will fight for a retirement program that
includes federal insurance programs for pension plans to protect
seniors and help everyone to retire when they plan to instead of
working past retirement age.
I will fight to repeal the PATRIOT Act and protect the rights of our citizens from unlawful search and seizure.
I will fight to help keep jobs in our great country.
You have many choices this November. You can choose which
millionaire should represent the working people or you can elect one of
your own, someone who gets up every morning and goes to work.
Joe Lieberman has lost sight of what is important. By moving
closer to George Bush, he no longer represents the people of
Connecticut.
With your help we can take back our country.
