David Michel

District 2: David Michel

David has volunteered with the Rye Marshlands Conservancy and was treasurer of the SUNY-Purchase Environmental Club. He also volunteered on a marine ecological survey of the pollution in Long Island Sound, coordinated between his marine biology studies and the Norwalk Maritime Center. He is an onshore volunteer for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, NY chapter, and a Cove Guardian, going to Japan to document dolphin slaughters in an effort to stop them. As a professional he leads a wholesale team in high-end eyewear.

District 3: Joel Furst
Joel is a graduate of Rippowam High School and a lifelong resident of Stamford. Now retired, he is active as a musician.

District 7: Zoe DeVito
Zoe graduated from Westhill High School in 2010 and is now a student at UConn, expecting to graduate in December with a B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Through UConn she has traveled to Indonesia to study orangutans and other vertebrates in Borneo. She is currently working as an intern educator for Stepping Stones Museum for Children and a tour guide volunteer at Yale Peabody Museum; she has also worked at Bartlett Arboretum and served as president of Stamford's Happy Club, a community service organization for teenagers.

District 9: Cora Santaguida
Cora graduated from Greenwich High School in 1996 and earned a B.A. in English (cum laude) from the College of New Rochelle. She is honored in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and also by Kappa Gamma Pi, the national honor society for leadership at Catholic colleges. She has worked as a teacher's assistant and with the Stamford Youth Services Bureau, where she supervised the YACline program, a teen information and referral phone line. Cora has also dedicated several hundred hours volunteering at Stamford Hospital and the Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education. She is a Justice of the Peace.

Clausel Berrouet

District 10: Clausel Berrouet
Clausel graduated from Westhill High School in 1997, after which he served in the U.S. Army. He has worked at a number of local businesses and is seeking a career in the private sector with his Business Degree.

Rolf Maurer

District 12: Rolf Maurer
A graduate of Westhill High School and former Associate Editor with Folio: magazine, Rolf currently does freelance copyediting and book jacket design and manages the blog for the Curley's Diner poetry group, PoemAlley. He has relied completely on mass and minor transit since 1999. Rolf has run previously as the Green Party candidate for Stamford Mayor, State Representative, and State Senate.

Nathan works as a sales manager in the wine industry. He also serves on the board of the National Parents Association and enjoys organic gardening at the Scofieldtown Community Garden.

Ted Hanser

District 20: Thaddeus (Ted) Hanser
Ted is an architect in private practice. In college he was a Midshipman, training for a commission in the U.S. Navy. He served as a county committeeman and Chairman of the Planning Board in Fort Lee, NJ, and he has been active in causes seeking peace and justice, including Peace Action of Greenwich/Stamford, Moveon.org, Common Cause, and the Sierra Club. In 2002, he helped form a Green Party chapter in Woodstock/Saugerties, NY.
