Green Party Candidate:
Jean de Smet for

Willimantic Service District Board of Selectmen

As both a Windham Community Activist and an Electrician, I have a 25-year track record as an honest, hard-working problem solver. I chaired the Windham Citizen's Advisory Recycling Cmte for 6 years, and served as President of the Community Land Trust of Windham and on the Boards of the YMCA and the Food Co-op. Two years ago I ran for First Selectman. I am currently on the Windham Open Space Advisory Committee, and Recording Secretary of IBEW Local 35.

I graduated from UConn in 1978. Bob Hackemack and I chose to settle in Willimantic because of the friendly, small-city atmosphere, the beauty of the Victorian homes and the wonderful people.
I love this town, and I'm committed to making Willimantic the best city we can be!
