I Will Work To:
Close the achievement gap by investing in early education and parent
involvement, and by providing all our students with instruction and
experiences that promote a love of learning as well as higher order
thinking skills.
Create a transparent school budget process in which the Board,
Superintendent, parents and taxpayers work together to set goals and
allocate funds, focusing especially on the direct needs of students and
teachers.
Foster environmental responsibility by building new schools to LEED
standards and teaching the 3 R’s of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle.’
Encourage parents’ and community involvement by expanding volunteer
opportunities and opening school facilities to the community-at-large.
