John Amarilios stands for:
UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE - A statewide
healthcare program to cover CT's
uninsured. Maine had done it; why can't we?
FAIR VEHICLE TAXES AND DISINCENTIVES
TO SUVS - Not only can we improve air quality and
reduce the burden on our roads, we can bankrupt the
terrorists currently financed by petrodollars.
NO MORE CASINOS - End state
complicity in a miserable industry of addiction.
REINSTATEMENT OF CONNECTICUT'S USURY LAWS - Stop the banks
and credit card companies from charging exorbitant interest rates
and gouging those who can least afford it.
FORECLOSURE DEFENSE - Change our foreclosure laws to allow
families 5 years to restructure their mortgage arrearages. Outlaw municipal
tax foreclosures, and increase homestead exemptions to the
full assessed value. Creditors should not be able to take people's homes away. |
