HARTFORD, CT- The Green Party of Connecticut will stress the growth of the political party at its annual Convention on April 17, 2005 at The Greater New Haven Labor Council Hall, 267 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT starting at 11 am.

Mike DeRosa, Green Party State Co-Chair said that " the Connecticut Green Party Convention is best of what politics should be, first with a pot luck lunch that is family friendly and free to the public . Next we elect our new state Green Party leaders. Then speeches by our local candidates and leaders on issues that directly effect the state, national and worldwide."

DeRosa, added "We are growing as a state party with escalating voter registration and burgeoning numbers voting for local candidates. We encourage anyone who might be disillusioned with the traditional two-party system, and who are looking for an organization which can more effectively meet their needs, to come to our Convention and see democracy at its finest."
